Encouraged by his father’s legacy, Shivam’s passion for kabaddi blossomed, leading him to persuade the PT teacher at his school to initiate a kabaddi team, thus marking the inception of his remarkable journey in the sport.
Specializing as a Left Raider, Shivam possesses exceptional skills in executing bonus moves, which have proven to be instrumental in securing crucial points for his team. His relentless training regimen is overseen by a distinguished panel of coaches, including his father Anil Patare, along with Kailash Jagdale, Anil Jagdale, Rahul Kokane, Wasim Inamdar, Aslam Inamdar, and Manpreet Singh. Together, they polish Shivam’s technique and strategic prowess, ensuring his continuous growth and development as a kabaddi player.
Shivam’s talent and dedication have earned him prestigious representations at various levels, including the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) with the Haryana Steelers, district tournaments, state championships, and Junior Nationals. Notable highlights of his career include securing third place in the Khelo India Youth Games in 2020 and 2022.
One of Shivam’s career-defining moments came during the Pro Kabaddi League season 10 when he achieved his first super 10 while playing for the Haryana Steelers against the Telugu Titans.
